Fine Art “The Shield” FA#18

Description

I created  “The Shield”  on Passover ( Easter) 2020 during the first Covid-19 confinement.

What came to my mind were the  words from the  “Haggadah” for Passover, V’hee she’ amda   והיא שעמדה :

“The Holly One , Blessed Be He, delivers us from their hands” .

This was the sentence that inspired me to design  “The Shield”.

Pewter “Repousse” technique on wood, colorful enamels, gold and copper leaves , black and brown patina were used to illustrate and to enhance  this meaningful and full of hope artwork, done in a difficult period that the whole world was going through.
