Stone Art S#138
“A stone is ingrained with geological and historical memories”. -Andy Goldsworthy
This Jerusalem stone carries the story that helped me to create this work of art.
Jerusalem stone is a pale limestone, common in and around Jerusalem, that has been used in many of the regions most celebrated structures, included the “Western Wall”
After connecting with the right stone that could carry my design, I started working on it.
I used the Pewter “Repousse” technique (embossing) combined with this limestone to create this sculpture.
Brown patina, Gold leaf, and copper are added to enhance it.
