FA#23 One-Of-a-Kind Mixed Media laminated and embossed Pewter on wood.
“Nimrod’s Gate” is an artwork inspired by the Nimrod Fortress ( Qal’at Nimrud in Arabic) . This Castle is located at the foot of Mt. Hermon, remaining in Israel from the Middle Ages. It’s the biggest Crusade-era castle in all of Israel, with views of much of the Golan and Upper Galilee.
I used the embossing technique of pewter “Repousse” enhanced with gold leaves, covered with brown patina and asphalt paint to give strength to this stately work of art.
